Fund Summary
The objective of this fund is to provide broad exposure to international equity markets outside of the Eurozone. It does so by aiming to track the performance of an underlying index of international shares rather than by active management. The fund is currently aiming to track the FTSE All World Developed ex Eurobloc Index through a SSgA Ireland managed fund but may elect to track other appropriate international indices. The FTSE All World Developed ex Eurobloc Index comprises of large and mid cap stocks providing coverage of world developed markets outside of the Eurozone. As an equity fund, this fund has a potentially high return but also a high risk profile given the risks inherent in investing in equities. The fund can be volatile over short to medium term periods.

Market Commentary
The second quarter of 2017 delivered largely positive returns for investors in risk assets, as the economic and political landscape became more favourable amid strengthening data and diminishing concerns about the rise of anti-EU populism. Equity markets, in general, continued their strong run over the quarter with emerging markets (EM) again outperforming: the MSCI Developed Market Index advanced 4.2% in US dollar terms, with the MSCI Emerging Market Index up 6.4%. Strength in EM occurred despite further political turmoil in Brazil, while the announcement by MSCI on 21st June that it would include China A shares in its benchmark EM index did help bolster returns.

US economic data was generally strong, although Q1 GDP growth was a disappointing 2.1% annualised. However, the jobs market remains strong, with the unemployment rate now down to 4.3%, consumer confidence is high and the forward-looking survey data from the Institute of Supply Managers suggest that both the manufacturing and services sectors are expanding strongly. Data out of the eurozone was generally positive with first-quarter GDP growth reported at 0.6%, suggesting that growth can at least match last year's 1.8% number. UK data has held up well despite expectations that Brexit would weigh on the economy. First-quarter GDP growth was weak (only up 0.2%), but the labour market and forward-looking indicators suggest that there is still economic momentum. The Japanese economy continues to grow at modest rates (0.3% in the first quarter). And despite ongoing labour market strength (the unemployment rate is at 3.1%), inflation remains quiescent with the headline rate at 0.4% and core at -0.2%. The Nikkei 225 Index recovered from a poor start to 2017, posting a 6.0% gain in Q2.
